LI: to use statistical and scientific methods to study the effect of wingspan and area on lift.
For the next couple of weeks Mr Wongs Math groups are studying aerodynamics. We learnt what variables are as well as independent and dependent variables. Our task this week was to create 12 paper/origami planes focusing on one certain design and studying each aspect of the design and which part of the paper planes are important and how they affect launch and flight. A variable is a feature of an object or thing that can change between multiple types of the object/item. An independent variable is unchanged by other variables or will not be changed by other aspects or assets of a variable. A dependent variable is depends on another factor in order to be changed.
